Join us in the competition for the script of the film promoting the values of the Małopolska Region. You can win free participation in the Film Spring Open Workshop with accommodation! The mentor of the Green Commercials for Małopolska is Polish film director Jan P. Matuszyński.
The competition aims to select the best scripts for commercials promoting Małopolska Region. Commercials that will be shot during the 18th Film Spring Open Workshop. Participants of the event will implement their projects within the green production model under the supervision of Jan P. Matuszyński, director of the Golden Lions-winning “The Last Family” and the tv series “The King of Warsaw”.
The authors of the three best sreeenplays will receive scholarships to participate in the Film Spring Workshop, which will cover the registration fee and accommodation at the Wolski Hotel in Przegorzały.

Jan P. Matuszyński: graduated from Directing Faculty at Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Documentary Course at the Wajda School. His documentary film “Deep Love” received numerous awards, including the Silver Lajkonik Award, at the Film Festival in Krakow. His feature debut “The Last Family” received Golden Lions Award at the FPFF in Gdynia. His next film, “Leave No Traces” was selected for the main competition of the 78th Venice International Film Festival.
He is a director of such series as “The Pack” and “The King of Warsaw” based on the novel by Szczepan Twardoch. Currently working on the film “Minghun” which is expected to be released in 2024.
What can you do at the Workshop?
The heart of practical workshops organized by the Film Spring Open Foundation are thematic groups whose participants work on their projects under the guidance of recognized artists and specialists.
We also invite you to participate in the Film Spring Open Wawel Hackathon: a programming and film competition aimed at creating interactive projects enabling modern visits to museums.
In addition, we organize masterclasses and screenings of award-winning films by outstanding artists and technicians.
The 18th Film Spring Open is held in Krakow from 10th to 19th of October.
