Wanda i Marcin Kędzierzawscy will lead the SFX and special effects make-up group

Wanda and Marcin Kędzierzawscy experienced in feature movies and theatrical performances will lead the SFX and Special Effects Make-up Group during Film Spring Open Workshop 2019.

Special effects make-up is a field combining the skills of a sculptor, make-up artists, and inventor. In our work, we constantly look for new, better solutions, since every project is different and requires new ideas and a dedicated group of people because a single person is not capable of going through every stage of creating a unique character. It is a very tedious and toilsome process and we want to show a small fragment of it during the workshop. The aesthetics of our job is unusual: wounds, monsters. Everything that may seem abhorrent, is fascinating to us. Our work changes the way we see the world and pushes the boundaries of beauty. We would like to interest young artists in this field of filmmaking, acquaint them with the basics of work with special effects on set and teach them about what to predict to get the best possible result.
