The INTERACTIVE NARRATION GROUP will work on the project ONLY YOU under the supervision of Florent Pallares, a PhD graduate in film and audiovisual studies, a tutor at Diplôme Universitaire de Photojournalisme, Captation et Images Aériennes in Perpignan ( www.photojournalisme.eu) and Barbara Kurzaj, the creator of Red Eyes Cool, an international group of filmmaker.
ONLY YOU PROJECT
During Film Spring Open Workshop, the interactive narration group will work, inspire and get inspiration in the spirit of “artistic residency”. The goal is to make a complete interactive movie. This project is open to all individual filmmakers who want to help in the different steps of creation or to the creative groups who want to make their own scenes in this interactive story. You can help for one day, some days or the entire length of the project. The story takes place in a near-future. In the quite old hotel room, the main character dies electrocuted while watching a VR movie. He becomes a spirit. The audience takes control of the movie, decide where to go, in a first-person view.
A part of this project will be done also at Cabestany in France and Guanajuato in Mexico. After the first editing is done, we can post it on different social networks and propose to filmmakers around the world to create their own scenes of “this spirit traveling” in order to make some extension of this interactive movie. Another side of this project is to work on the limit of what we can show or not on the screen.
Everything can be modified/improved by new participants. This interactive story can have different beginnings, different ends and different style of cinema. We never know what can happen in each room. It allows each filmmaker to create what they want. Feel welcome!
