Is there a place for filmmakers in the world of computer games? The leader of the Video Games Group during the Film Spring Open Workshop, proves that it is!
During this Film Spring Open Workshop, classes for gaming fans will start again.The mentor of the Video Games Groupwill be Maciej Kunach from Bloober Team, who started his adventure with games as a participant of our Workshop.

This is how he outlines the group work plan:
The participants will be guided through the shortened production of a computer game. From the initial concept through motion capture sessions, creating and programming mechanics, to the creation of cutscenes, adapting the virtual scenery, lighting and many other elements that make up the game. Each participant will be able to choose from what elements of production would he like to focus on.
The games will be created using the Unreal Engine 5 engine, a professional and free tool that allows you to create materials of the highest quality. The Perception Neuron set will be used for the motion capture session.

Maciej Kunach – Cutscene Designer at Bloober Team. He worked on the camerawork and editing in the game “The Medium”, a narrative psychological horror film inspired by the works of Zdzisław Beksiński. Previously, a filmmaker and a documentalist associated with the Bydgoszcz Film Chronicle and the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. Member of the jury of last year’s Warsaw Animation Film Festival.
This year’s Film Spring Open Workshop will be held on October 11-20, 2022 in Przegorzały, Krakow.
