The group is aimed at all activities involving the use of music in images. Everyone who plans to use original or existing music in their projects is encouraged to participate, as well as composers and sound directors and sound operators themselves.
The group is open to the public and will be based mainly on consultation and practical help with the selection of musical material and its use in film, as well as assistance in meeting the director or producer with the composer. We will demonstrate with examples the influence of music on the image, the function of music in film and ways of acquiring tracks. The group will be led by Magda Miśka-Jackowska, who has been involved in film music for over 15 years in the areas of education, production and promotion.
You are welcome to join the group at any stage of production – from the selection of music to its creation and recording. We are happy to share our knowledge of how to cope with a very small budget, where to look for music and how to use it effectively in a film. We will also help you get in touch with composers.
Conversely, we will enable composers to reach out to filmmakers,” says Magda Miśka-Jackowska.
