The VR Group at the Film Spring Open Workshops, taking place on 13–22 October 2026, will continue its experiments with interactive filmmaking — both in VR technology and in traditional film formats. We therefore invite not only participants interested in creating VR content, but also those working with conventional cameras and the classical language of cinema.
During the workshops, we will develop interactive scripts, test different approaches to storytelling, and explore how viewers’ decisions can influence the course of a story, training session, or educational experience. The group will be a space for people who want to combine film, new technologies, storytelling, and practical applications of immersive media.
As every year, participants will also have the opportunity to discover the latest CinematicVR implementations, including projects developed for VR training for the justice system in cooperation with the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, as well as other examples of the use of interactive films in education and professional training.
This year, in addition to the classic VR180 workflow, the group will also explore the possibilities offered by the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive camera and the production workflow for content designed for Apple Vision Pro headsets.
