The Interactive narration Group can work on a project of their choice and/or join the WELCOME TO FILM SPRING OPEN, LET’S CHANGE THE WORLD, and/or SUPER TRAMP projects under the supervision of Florent Pallares and Red Eyes Cool, an international group of filmmakers founded in 2008 during the Film Spring Open workshop.
This group wishes to work in the spirit of an “artistic residency.” It is open to all filmmakers who want to contribute to the various stages of creation or to independent groups who want to create their own interactive stories. You can help for a day, a few days, or for the entire duration of the project.
Another aspect of this group will be to attempt to create the most eco-friendly audiovisual production possible, following the recommendations of FRAME (Federation of Research in Audiovisual, Media, and Ecology): https://fsofrance.org/frame.

WELCOME TO FILM SPRING OPEN is an interactive project that allows the viewer to meet different people of their choice within the Film Spring Open universe and/or discover some of their creations. The idea is to produce short, fun video capsules of a few minutes, which can themselves be interactive, in the form of an interview, a short report or documentary, a tutorial, a fiction, or even a mockumentary.
2022 marked the starting point of this project, which can grow each year by adding video capsules to a website available online for free.
For the 2026 edition, we want to focus on the compatibility between Artificial Intelligence and Ecology.
The audiovisual industry is facing an unprecedented dual transition: a technological one, driven by the rapid rise of generative Artificial Intelligence, and an environmental one, with the absolute necessity to reduce the carbon footprint of film shoots and computing (Green IT).
All too often, these two challenges are presented as contradictory, with AI being criticized for its high energy consumption. The ambition of this project in Kraków is to prove the opposite by creating an Environmental Sandbox at the heart of the workshop: learning how to design, measure, and deploy eco-responsible AI workflows.
The goal is to combine French expertise in eco-designed methodologies (developed by FRAME) with the technological power and know-how of the Film Spring Open workshop team to lay the foundations for the cinema of tomorrow.
The project will be implemented immersively over the 10 days of the workshops in Kraków, structured around practical cases and concrete deliverables:
Co-facilitation of an interdisciplinary experimentation hub bringing together young creators, editors, sound engineers, and visual effects (VFX) specialists. The challenge will be to test, in real-world conditions, digital sobriety protocols: optimizing data flows in the cloud, selecting the least energy-intensive AI models for rendering, and using specific environmental footprint calculators.
All post-production phases—AI integration, color grading, and sound design—will be centralized on board the Cinébus. This mobile, photovoltaic-powered studio will serve as a unique case study in Europe to demonstrate the viability of a green, profitable, and energy-independent production model.
The ecological transition will also extend to the film set. The project includes the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge accessories and technical parts using recycled objects and 3D printing with exclusively biodegradable PLA filament (cornstarch-based), modeled and optimized in advance by AI to minimize raw material waste. If funding is secured, the workshop will be led by Laurent Sola, a specialist in eco-responsible 3D printing.
The work carried out in Kraków will not stop at the workshop’s doors. Its purpose is to create transferable and sustainable standards:
To oversee this laboratory of excellence, a parity delegation of 8 qualified professionals and trainers from Film Spring Open France will be sent to Kraków, bringing together the key skills required:
LET’S CHANGE THE WORLD is an interactive website featuring documentaries and photo reports about people who are trying to change the world in their own way. The first season was launched during the Film Spring Open Workshop in October 2022 in Kraków. Since then, we have received over 1,500 submissions from a hundred different countries. We have selected about fifty of them, which you can watch at: https://fsofrance.org/lets-change-the-world-en
The Super Tramp project began in the Guanajuato region of Mexico in February 2020 but was halted due to the pandemic. In 2025, we restarted the project in Ensenada, Baja California, where we are currently filming.
In 2020, Super Tramp was an interactive fiction project about a fake international reality TV show where viewers could select and pit two homeless people from around the world against each other to change their lives. For example, the audience could choose to transform them into an artist, athlete, politician, etc. The best of them could advance to the final stage and become whatever the audience decided.
Today, this TV show has reunited some stars who, due to the pandemic, have become homeless. Living among waste, they have become aware of the importance of ecology. It now offers a new type of interactive show where “super tramps” teach you about the importance of ecology.
This satirical and humorous project aims to denounce greenwashing while trying to raise audience awareness about ecology. It is open to all filmmakers who wish to participate, either by creating scenes or by joining existing teams.

Florent Pallares – filmmaker, lecturer and trainer, Florent Pallares has been a member of Film Spring Open since 2008 and holds a PhD in Film and Audiovisual Studies. He created in 2013, Film Spring Open France, which offers audiovisual training in France but also in Mexico.
He is co-founder and responsible for the practical audiovisual training of the BTS option “Image Professions” of the high school « Pablo Picasso » and the professional license “Information Professions: journalism and press professions” course “Photojournalism, digital media and audiovisual images” of the University of Perpignan, in the south of France.
He is president of FRAME (Federation of Research on Audiovisual, Media and Ecology) and is the artistic director of Red Eyes Cool, an international group of filmmakers that manages the Let’s change the world project. He is also the director of two festivals: The Encounters Short Film Festival « Image In Cabestany » and « Les étoiles du court-métrage » (« The short Film Stars »).
He has been a lecturer on the « Lycéens et Apprentis au Cinéma » (« Students and apprentices at the cinema») program of the CNC (French National Center for Cinema) and has supervised for the « Institut Jean Vigo »( Jean Vigo Institute), the « Passeurs d’images » (« Passengers of Images ») project of the CNC and the « Cinéma 100 ans de jeunesse » (« Cinema 100 years of youth ») project of the Cinémathèque Française (French Cinematheque).
