10 days, 247 participants, 15 thematic groups, 60 lectures, 61 technology partners and 38 projects… 17. Film Spring Open Workshop was a really good time!! Watch our making of documenting it!

 

The latest edition of the Film Spring Open Workshop, which ended on October 20, was attended by 247 participants who had a choice of 15 dedicated groups led by recognized specialists:

Animation Group with award-winning authors of animated films, Mariusz Wilczyński and Tomasz Siwiński under the patronage of ZAiKs

Arri Group Close up. Visual Dramaturgy of Character-driven Movies with director Magnus von Horn and cinematographer Michał Dymek

Canon Virtual & Augmented Reality Group with Konrad Ziaja, founder of the CinematicVR startup

CGI and Modern Editing Group with Kuba Sobek, a video producer and creator of trailers who has found his place in the gaming industry

SFX Makeup and Puppet Animation Group, which is the result of cooperation between Dorota and Jakub Michnikowski and Redo SFX (Wanda and Marcin Kędzierzawscy).

Documentary Film Group with Oscar-nominated director Hanna Polak

Film Script Open Group with director Jagoda Szelc

Video Games Group with Maciej Kunach from Bloober Team

Interactive Narration Group with the founders of Red Eyes Cool, i.e. Barbara Jonak and Florent Pallares

Film Music Group with journalist Magdalena Miśka Jackowska

Piotr Woźniak-Starak Modern Film Production Group coordinated by Marta Szarzyńska and Joanna Tatko with, among others, Ewa Puszczyńska, Krzysztof Terej and Agata Szymańska as lecturers

Sony Venice Shooting in Rough Conditions with Wojciech Staroń, cinematographer, director and screenwriter

Music Videos Group with director Tadeusz Śliwa under the patronage of Agora

NUKE the Art of Visual Effects Group with Agata Nawrocka, visual effects specialist

Sony Xperia Group. How to Create and Promote Content with Your Phone? with Krzysztof Ochman, creator of documentaries and advertising films

Beginning adepts of audiovisual arts could also take part in:

masterclasses with: world-renowned cinematographer Sławomir Idziak, Oscar-winning set designer Allan Starski, director Agnieszka Smoczyńska and journalist and comedian Szymon Majewski;

workshops on: animation with the German artist Nikita Diakur, lighting with Jerzy Rudziński, Filip Kovčin and Piotr Kucia, film make-up with Marian Folga, Wiktoria Wędzicha and Wiktoria Sojka, hardware workshops allowing you to try out the Movie Bird MB 12 VertiCrane crane and the head Elit or regarding copyright with attorney Sara Dobrzańska (Legalna Kultura);

and screenings of the following films: “Sonata”, “Angels from Sinjar”, “Bread and Salt”, “The Silent Twins” and others.

 

During the Workshop, a joint initiative of Film Spring Open and the Wawel Royal Castle took place, a Hackathon combining the worlds of film and IT. The winner of the competition was again Franciszek Matysik.
