SFX and special effects make-up group

Group tutors: Wanda and Marcin Kędzierzawscy

“Special effects make-up is a field combining the skills of a sculptor, make-up artists and an inventor… In our work we constantly look for new, better solutions, since every project is different and requires new ideas and a dedicated group of people because a single person is not capable of going through every stage of creating a unique character. It is a very tedious and toilsome process and we want to show a small fragment of it during the workshop. The aesthetics of our job is unusual: wounds, monsters… Everything that may seem abhorrent, is fascinating to us. Our work changes the way we see the world and pushes the boundaries of beauty. We would like to interest young artists in this field of filmmaking, acquaint them with the basics of work with special effects on set and teach them about what to predict to get the best possible result.” – Wanda and Marcin Kędzierzawski
