Is there a place for filmmakers in the world of game development? Maciej Kunach’s group proves that there is!
As every year during the Film Spring Open Workshops in Kraków, workshops will be launched for future developers and for those interested in the cinematic aspects of games. The group will once again be led by Maciej Kunach – senior cinematic designer at Bloober Team, who began his journey with games as a participant of Film Spring Open.
Here’s how he outlines the group’s workflow:
The group will go through a shortened production pipeline of cutscenes for a video game. From the initial concept and pitch, through motion capture sessions, creating and programming mechanics, to adapting virtual set design, lighting, and many other components that shape the final cinematic sequence. Each participant will choose for themselves which aspects of production they would like to focus on.
The projects will be created using Unreal Engine 5, a professional and free tool used in top-quality productions.
