Video games as a space for filmmakers!
Is there a place for filmmakers in the world of games? Of course! Video Games Group is a real prove!
This year’s Film Spring Open Workshops in Krakow is once again open for future developers and participants interested in cutscenes. The Video Games Group will again be lead by Maciej Kunach of Bloober Team, who began his adventure with games as a participant in the FSO Workshops.
This is how he chalks up the group work plan:
The group will be guided through the abbreviated production flow of cutscenes for a computer game. From the initial concept and pitch, through motion capture sessions, creation and programming of mechanics, to customization of virtual scenery, lighting and many other components that form the final film interlude. Each participant will choose for themselves which elements of production they would like to focus on.
Projects will be created using Unreal Engine 5, a professional and free tool used by top-quality productions.
Maciej Kunach – Senior Cutscene Designer at Bloober Team studio, responsible for productions such as “The Medium” and “Silent Hill 2 Remake”. Previously, a filmmaker and documentalist associated with the Bydgoszcz Film Chronicle and Wajda School.
