Film Spring Open Workshop is an interdisciplinary educational programme for young artists from the audio-visual sector, which was established in 2005 thanks to the initiative of Prof. Sławomir Idziak. Film Spring Open Workshop is a unique meeting point for film and new media professionals, students, debutants and fans of film, who can develop their artistic and technical skills in aspirit of cooperation and shared passion for cinema. Our participants have an opportunity tolearn through filmmaking, attend lectures from award-winning top professionals (like Juliette Binoche, Natalie Portman, Ewa Puszczynska and many more), learn new technologies, test hands-on the newest equipment, exchange their knowledge and make their films using the best film equipment available on the market. The aim of the Film Spring Open audiovisual education program is to introduce students to the rapidly growing market for multimedia communication. We believe that, currently every field of science requires elementary and modern audiovisual education. We propose a model of mobile education aimed at students and professionals in various fields who do not live in large academic centers.
